The things we won't know until we start living in this home is how loud rain on the roof will be and how the metal roof will compare with a tiled roof for insulation and regarding the temperature on a hot summers day on the first floor.Hyatt38 (Carter Grange)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05707293602440775565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7085403822391810546.post-84842101053296650892012-10-22T04:57:52.296-07:002012-10-22T04:57:52.296-07:00I would also like to recommend using metal roofing...I would also like to recommend using metal roofing as they are known to be very durable. They can withstand extreme conditions such as snow, hail, and even wildfires. And upgrading it to AirCell can certainly help in controlling the insulation inside your house. Anyway, the roof looks good and sturdy.

@Maricela Milum
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109229791022055418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7085403822391810546.post-7213328060150243452012-10-03T05:06:07.558-07:002012-10-03T05:06:07.558-07:00Provide colorbond roofing to Hyatt 38 in lieu of s...Provide colorbond roofing to Hyatt 38 in lieu of standard roof tiles, including 1 x colorbond whirly bird = $3600. If I understand it correctly your roof comes with sarking and whirly birds as standard due to upgrading it to colourbond.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06193506431224934735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7085403822391810546.post-56892975676097766582012-10-02T05:26:56.107-07:002012-10-02T05:26:56.107-07:00BruP, sarking was a standard inclusion. Our sarking had nothing to do with BAL requirements.Hyatt38 (Carter Grange)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05707293602440775565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7085403822391810546.post-69350749793849105362012-09-29T20:57:37.846-07:002012-09-29T20:57:37.846-07:00Hi Hyatt38

My build is assessed as being a BAL LOW but apparently CG needs to make my house meet the BAL 12.5 (which includeed sarking etc...). I think it adds something to the house but I end up paying close to $5K for all the upgrades (don't really want to but apparently I don't have a choice). Do you have the same experience or does anyone in the same boat as me?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06193506431224934735noreply@blogger.com
